Use Somebody

Kings of Leon are the three Followill brothers and their cousin from Tennessee, and their 2008 album Only by the Night turned them from a cult band into arena headliners, especially in the UK, where it went to number one. Use Somebody won the Grammy for Record of the Year and sits comfortably at a slow dance pace with a soaring chorus that lets a band stretch out. Couples pick it because the lyric admits to needing another person without any sugar, which suits pairs who want feeling without sentimentality. In Britain the single reached number two and spent 77 weeks on the chart across several runs, a measure of how long it has stayed in people's lives.
