Santa Tell Me

Ariana Grande released this as a standalone single in November 2014, written with Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh, and it has returned to the UK chart most Decembers since, reaching number eight in 2023. The lyric asks for a sign that a new romance will survive past the holidays, which makes it a knowing choice for a couple who first met at Christmas or got engaged over the season. The tempo is brisk pop with a sleigh bell backbeat, so it suits a first dance that is really the opening of the party. The video shows Grande and her friends dancing, laughing and handing out presents around her house, which is why it looks like a home video.
