I Will Wait

Mumford & Sons were the biggest act of the British folk revival, and I Will Wait, the lead single from their second album Babel in 2012, was the song that carried them into stadiums. It is a galloping banjo and kick drum anthem with a chorus that promises patience and devotion, and couples choose it when they want their first dance to turn into a full floor singalong within a minute. The tempo is brisk, so it tends to be picked by pairs happy to bounce rather than waltz. The video was filmed at Red Rocks in Colorado, and the song earned the band a Grammy nomination and their first UK top twenty single.
