All My Days

All My DaysAlexi Murdoch

Alexi Murdoch was born in London, raised in Greece and Scotland and settled in America, where he turned down repeated major label offers to keep control of his music, which is the main reason his name never spread beyond a devoted following. All My Days appeared on his 2006 debut album Time Without Consequence, released on his own Zero Summer label, and travelled through television, with placements in Grey's Anatomy and a central role in the 2009 film Away We Go. It is a slow, circling fingerpicked piece with a low, unhurried vocal about finally finding where you belong, chosen by couples who want a first dance that feels private rather than performed. His mother was sixties singer Louise Cordet.
