You're Still the One

Shania Twain's Come On Over came out in 1997 and went on to spend eleven weeks at number one in Britain, and You're Still the One, released as a single in 1998, reached the UK top ten. She wrote it with her then husband Robert John Lange about the people who said their relationship would never last, and the lyric is a gentle told you so addressed to the doubters. Couples who have been together for years before marrying pick it because it celebrates staying the course. The tempo is slow with a light pop sheen. It won two Grammys in 1999 and the video was shot in black and white on a beach in Malibu.
