Love Me Like You Do

Ellie Goulding, the Hereford born singer who won the BBC Sound of 2010 poll before her first album was out, released Love Me Like You Do in 2015 for the film Fifty Shades of Grey, and it spent four weeks at number one in Britain. Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Tove Lo were among its writers, and the lyric is an invitation to be touched and loved without restraint. Couples choose it because the verse is soft and intimate while the chorus opens into something cinematic, which suits a first dance that starts slow and rises. The song earned Goulding her first Grammy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for best original song.
