In Case You Didn't Know

Brett Young was a college baseball pitcher, finishing at Fresno State in California, before an elbow injury in 2003 ended that career and pushed him towards songwriting. In Case You Didn't Know appeared on his 2016 debut EP and then on his first full album in 2017, and it has since been certified Diamond in America. The lyric is an apology for not saying I love you often enough, followed by saying it plainly, and couples who are not comfortable with big public declarations find that honesty appealing. The pace is a relaxed mid tempo that allows a slow dance with a bit of movement. Young co wrote it with three other writers on a working trip to Puerto Vallarta.
