A Sunday Kind Of LoveEtta James

Etta James recorded A Sunday Kind Of Love for her 1960 Argo album At Last!, the record that also carried the title track, with Riley Hampton arranging and conducting. The song was published in 1946, written by Barbara Belle, Louis Prima, Anita Leonard and Stan Rhodes, and Claude Thornhill's orchestra, with Fran Warren singing, had the first hit with it. Couples choose it over At Last when they want the same voice without the song every other wedding has used: the tempo is a slow drift and the lyric asks for a love that lasts past Saturday night. James's version has since earned a silver certification in the UK, which shows how many couples still find it.
